I've been making and decorating cakes since 2009. I never thought that this would be something that I would do, but my wonderful husband, Seth, gave me the encouragement to try and now it has become a love of mine. My favorite thing about making cakes is seeing the reactions of my customers when they see their finished cake.
You're probably wondering why I picked the name CakeWerks. Well, I wanted to incorporate my maiden name, Werkmeister, into my cake decorating. The reason for wanting to do this was because of my mother. She used to decorate cakes when I was little and she taught me a few things about cake decorating. She passed away in 2009 from cancer and I still wanted her to, some how, have a part in what she taught me.
